Open Forum On Independent Film Profits

The IIPG sponsors the Open Forum On Independent Film Profits. The Open Forum is a space for any and all film makers, distributors, streamers, producers and others, to discuss changes and issues in the film industry, broadly defined, and to explore solutions to the various challenges that the independent producing sector faces.

The Open Forum is intended to encourage frank and serious dialog within the industry. The IIPG does not endorse and is not responsible for opinions and content expressed by the participants in any way. The Open Forum is conducted under Chatham House Rules, which mean that no participant can be identified in transcripts, transcripts are redacted to expunge personally identifiable information, and that original audio recordings are destroyed. Further, the transcripts are published and made available to the public under Creative Commons Attribution Noncommercial license. Anyone can quote from transcripts and use them in their own commentary, so long as attribution to the IIPG is made pursuant to the license and no further restrictions are implied to the use of the material.

The Open Forum is an ongoing set of discussions. Currently, they take place once a month.
